President Like her father, Carlotta Cubi began learning about stone as a child, spending hours leaning over her father’s blueprints, highlighting all the countertops and tile floors. She went on to obtain a business degree from Northeastern University and began her formal employment at Cumar, Inc. in sales and account management. Today, Carlotta is the eighth generation of her family to work with stone, serving as Cumar’s President.

Angelo “Ivo” Cubi was born and raised in Verona, Italy, where his family has been in the stone business for generations. Ivo learned from a young age what it means to work with marble — it’s in his blood — and in 1992 he founded his own company, Cumar, Inc. With Cumar, Ivo has brought the highest quality in marble, granite, and other fine stones from around the world to both commercial and residential clients – not just in New England but also throughout the United States and internationally.

Ivo’s passion for stone and his commitment to quality are clearly evident. Each year he travels extensively, hand-selecting stone from around the world to bring home to New England where he houses one of the region’s largest inventories of stone. His discerning eye for fine stones is matched by his insistence on state-of-the-art equipment and expectations of excellence from his employees. Ivo Cubi’s knowledge, experience, and appreciation of excellence have made him — and Cumar — undisputed authorities on exotic stones.
